At a glance

Built for the weekly pile-up

  • 14 place settings and flexible racking fit large pots, pans and plates up to 300mm, not just teacups and saucers
  • Runs at just 44dB, quiet enough to leave on overnight or during a film without drowning out the telly
  • Soil-sensing wash automatically matches the cycle to how dirty your load really is, saving water, energy and time
  • Auto-open drying cracks the door after washing so plates, bowls and even plastics come out properly dry
  • Delay start and half load function let you schedule washes and run smaller loads exactly when it suits you

In everyday use

One machine for the whole week's washing-up

Fitting a full week's worth of washing-up shouldn't mean cramming plates in sideways or running two loads to get everything clean. This full size freestanding dishwasher gives you 14 place settings of genuinely flexible space, with flexible racks that adjust to take large pots, mixing bowls and plates up to 300mm across, alongside all your everyday crockery and cutlery. Run it whenever suits you. At just 44dB, it's quiet enough to have on overnight or while you're relaxing in the next room, and the soil-sensing wash function reads how dirty your load actually is before picking the right cycle, so you're not wasting water or energy on a light wash that runs long, or a heavy wash for a few coffee cups. Once the cycle finishes, the auto-open drying function cracks the door for better air circulation, leaving dishes properly dry rather than damp and steamy. A wide LED display keeps you informed with remaining time and programme progress at a glance, delay start lets you schedule washes around cheaper energy tariffs or your routine, and half load mode is there for smaller batches when you don't want to wait for a full one. The stainless steel finish is built to resist fingerprints and smudges, so it stays looking clean between washes too.

Why it works

Three things it gets right, every cycle

Space for a proper family wash

A generous 845mm x 598mm x 600mm interior with flexible racks handles 14 place settings at once, including bulky pots and large dinner plates, so you're not stuck hand-washing the awkward stuff.

Quiet enough to forget it's on

Silent-Tech engineering keeps operating noise down to 44dB, making it easy to run a wash during dinner, in the evening, or while the house is settling down for the night.

Smart cycles, properly dried dishes

Soil-sensing technology picks the right cycle for each load automatically, while auto-open drying finishes the job by airing dishes after the wash, cutting down on lingering damp plastics and glassware.

Measuring up

Check the space before it arrives

This is a full size, freestanding machine: it stands on its own feet, connects to your water supply and drainage in the usual way, and can move with you rather than being built into the cabinetry. Measure your gap against the three figures below before ordering.

The unit weighs 44.8kg, so plan for two people when moving it into place. Inside, the flexible racks take plates up to 300mm across alongside big pots and mixing bowls — 14 place settings in a single load.

Programmes

Six cycles, chosen for you when you want

ECOAuto90 Min WashSoakIntensiveRapid

Leave it on Auto and the soil-sensing wash reads how dirty the load actually is, then picks the right cycle — no wasted water on a few coffee cups, no under-washed roasting tin. Delay start lets you schedule a wash around cheaper energy tariffs, and half load mode covers the days when there simply isn't a full basket to run.

Rated energy consumption is 85kWh per 100 cycles, and the wide LED display keeps the remaining time and programme progress readable at a glance. It handles everyday dishware and glassware, pots and pans, and heavily soiled bakeware — the loads a countertop machine has to sit out.

Living with it

Quiet on, properly dry after

The two complaints people have about dishwashers are the noise while they run and the puddled plastics when they finish. This one is engineered to 44dB — quiet enough to run through dinner, a film, or overnight without making itself the centre of attention. And when the cycle ends, the auto-open drying function cracks the door so air circulates through the load: plates, bowls, glassware and even plastics come out dry rather than steaming, which you can switch off with a single press if you would rather keep the door closed.

The stainless steel exterior resists fingerprints and smudges, so the front stays presentable between washes, and the push-button controls under the LED display keep the whole thing simple enough that everyone in the house actually uses it.

Unboxing

Everything that arrives with it

  • Freestanding dishwasher unit
  • Flexible upper and lower racks
  • Cutlery basket
  • Water inlet and drain hoses
  • Instruction manual and warranty card

The inlet and drain hoses are supplied, so a standard installation needs nothing extra before the first wash. A small amount of water residue inside a new machine is normal — each unit is quality-tested before it leaves the factory.

Finally fits our big pans in

Our old dishwasher could never handle saucepans properly. This one has enough room and the flexible racks make a real difference. Genuinely quiet too, we run it after the kids go to bed and can't hear it upstairs.

Dries well, sensible size

Does a proper job on drying, plastics come out dry rather than sitting there wet like with our last machine. Only reason for four stars is it took a bit of trial and error to load it efficiently at first.

Display makes it easy to use

Straightforward to set up and the LED display is clear, tells you exactly how long is left. The delay start has been handy for running it overnight on the cheaper electricity rate.

Quiet and easy to live with

Bought this for a small kitchen-diner and was worried about noise, but honestly you barely notice it running. The half load option is great when it's just the two of us and we don't want to wait for a full load.
